Destiny 2 has many DLC expansions that have been released since 2017. This can be a bit overwhelming, especially for new players, as there are so many. But don’t worry, we have prepared a guide for each DLC in the game.
The Destiny 2 DLCs are quite extensive in terms of content. Each DLC offers a completely new story, new raids, and plenty of activities to participate in. Additionally, the main story ties in with each DLC, along with smaller stories through seasons and recent episodes throughout the world of the game.
So, if you want to get an idea of what’s going on, you need to play them all. Unfortunately, this would mean that Destiny would become a huge game, which would be physically challenging to handle. Therefore, the developers introduced a system called sunsetting, where some old DLCs were removed.
This is a complex situation, but this article will tell you about what you have missed so far and everything you can play and will be able to play in the future.

Vaulted Destiny 2 DLC
Red War (September 2017)
Red War was a campaign in Vanilla Destiny 2. It’s not a DLC, but because it’s part of the main story, it’s important to mention it. This story takes place on Earth, where you battle against Cabal General Dominus Ghaul.
He is trying to capture the Traveller and thus put an end to the Guardians and humanity. The Speaker also falls during the Red War Campaign. In fact, the Guardians ultimately lose their Light abilities, and Ghaul sends a powerful message to all.
Fortunately, we regain our powers and eventually fight and defeat Ghaul. However, this campaign was not the end of Vanilla Destiny 2. After the Leviathan Raid campaign, where we fought against a robotic version of Calus.
This was the first time we came into contact with the exiled Cabal Emperor and thus began a long struggle for power that will end in Lightfall. Unfortunately, these were not the best times for Destiny 2, as the game completely reset, and many things that made the previous iteration good were missing.
The campaign was good, and the raid was decent. However, the meta was very outdated, and the game had very few activities. Dual primaries, slow super recharge, and lack of random rolls made the game a poor experience.
