World of Warcraft: The War Within is gearing up for a full release in August, and, as with any expansion, many things are set to change. Within this, there are a few things that completionists should try to accomplish before the launch.
The pre-patch for the expansion has already been released, concluding the previous PvP and Mythic+ seasons. Additionally, many of the core features from The War Within are already available for players to try out.
Warbands, which allow players to pool characters through a shared bank, items, achievements, and other functions, are now available. There are also numerous changes in the user interface, the beginning of a new questline, and a new event, the launch of which is planned for next week.
However, there is still much to be done before the previous expansion bids its final farewell.
Everything to Complete Before the Launch of «The War Within»
In a post on the official World of Warcraft website, the developer detailed all achievements for raids and dungeons that will disappear next month.
Raids
- Raids will no longer be «awakened» after the launch of «The War Within,» and the following rewards, achievements, and teleports associated with them will no longer be available:
- Traveling Wilderling mount obtained in the raids «Awakening of the Dragonflight.»
- The title «Awakened Hero» can be obtained in Heroic raids: Awakening the Dragonflight.
- The raid teleports Path of the Original Prison, Path of Bitter Legacy, and Path of Fiery Sleep, obtained in raids «Mythic Mode: Awakening of the Dragonflight.»
- Raid achievements for the 4th season «Awakened»:
- Awakened Storms: Normal, Heroic, Mythic
- Awakened Shadows: Normal, Heroic, Mythic
- Awakened Flame: Normal, Heroic, Mythic
- After the launch of The War Within, the opportunity to obtain Anu’relos’s Bridle and Flame’s Guidance will become much more difficult. Learning a mount in any class also grants the Ember of the Fiery Synod and Ashes of Fellowship.
Dungeons
- Season 4 Mythic+ is ending, and the Font of Power will no longer appear in the dungeons of the 4th season «Dragonflight.»
- All achievements and rewards of the 4th season will no longer be available:
- Conqueror of the Dragonflight Key: Season 4 achievement and «Dragonflight» title: Achieve a Mythic+ rating of 1500 during the 4th season Dragonflight.
- Master of the Dragonflight Keys: Season 4 achievement and its Infinite Armoredon mount reward: Achieve a Mythic+ rating of 2000 during the 4th season «Dragonflight.»
- Dragonflight Keystone Hero: Season 4 Achievements: Achieve a Mythic+ rating of 2500 during the 4th season Dragonflight.
Teleports to key dungeons: Azure Repository, Halls of Saturation, Neltaruss, Alg’Thera’s Academy, Uldaman: Legacy of Tyre, Ferngrove Gully, Ruby Lake of Life, and No’hud Assault.
Additionally, you will need to complete all tasks in WoW Remix before the end of this event on August 19, and keep in mind that the pre-update event Radiant Echoes will also end immediately after the expansion launches on August 27.
