Best Active Skills for Esiemo
While some characters in The First Descendant benefit from prioritizing certain skills and using others as backups, we found that the best way to play as Esiemo is to make use of all four of his active skills listed in the table below.
However, while the Controlled Mine and Arche Explosion are useful skills, we found that we used Time Bomb and Blast the most. Using both skills together allowed us to control the moment of bomb explosions and create chain reactions after luring other players into our trap.
The Controlled Mine was more effective in one-on-one combat, but the most interesting aspect of playing as Esiemo is creating complex chains or random explosions that catch enemies off guard.
It is worth noting that using Delayed Action Bomb and Madness State Explosion triggered by Arche Explosion makes this strategy even more deadly.
Unlike some other characters, Esiemo’s passive skill does not actually help or enhance any of his active skills, so it does not need to be included in this strategy.
All Skills Explained

Best Weapon for Esiemo
The best weapon for Esiemo is the Thunder Cage Submachine Gun, an absolute weapon that emits shockwaves, dealing electric damage to enemies. Add to that the DPS damage Esiemo already inflicts with his bombs, and you have a winning formula.
Unfortunately, Esiemo’s attacks do not conduct electricity like Valbi’s attacks, but that doesn’t prevent him from being a useful tool for dealing additional damage.
After equipping the Thunder Cage, add the following modifications to increase the damage dealt:
- Slice Enhancements – Increases your firearm’s attack power
- Increased fire rate – Increases your rate of fire
- Consume Magazines – Faster reload and minor damage increase to weak spots
- Action and Reaction – Increases firearm attack and recoil
- Better Understanding – Increases critical hit chance of firearm
- Best Concentration – Increases damage from critical hits of firearm
- Weak Spot Understanding – Increases damage to vulnerable spots and slightly increases critical hit chance of firearm
Esiemo is not a character for an average player who prefers to run and shoot, his attack is done with bombs, so the Thunder Cage is a reliable weapon you can use between explosive chains.

Best Reactor for Esiemo in The First Descendant
One of the most interesting features of The First Descendant are Reactors — powerful modifiers that allow you to change the damage dealt and add elemental damage or status ailments.
When choosing a reactor, it is important to add one that will give you the most benefit based on your active and passive skills.
For Esiemo, you should prioritize skills that enhance his Fusion and Fire output damage. Therefore, choose skills that fall into the Critical Hit Damage skill category.
Also, consider adding some skills that increase Piercing damage once you equip the Thunder Cage submachine gun.
