EA FC 25 introduces a new exciting feature that enhances tactics, giving players an even more realistic experience. Here’s everything you need to know about FC IQ in the upcoming EA Sports game.
EA Sports has announced all the new features coming to the latest version of EA Sports FC, and one that has particularly impressed users for its complexity and effectiveness is FC IQ.
This feature is based on real data and AI, designed to influence tactics and positioning in all types of matches in EA FC 25. But what exactly does FC IQ entail and how does it affect the game?
Explaining FC IQ
As explained during the producers’ presentation, FC IQ is a new fundamental pillar in EA FC 25, working alongside HypermotionV and PlayStyles to provide players with an even more realistic gameplay experience.
FC IQ is a deeper way to manage tactics and squad positions. It allows them to have greater control over their team, with further customization not only of the entire lineup, but also of each player and the position they play in. This means that not all strikers will have the same qualities, as they will depend on your choice.
FC IQ has three basics that determine player actions in defense and attack:
- Player roles
- Team tactics
- Smart tactics
Player Roles in FC IQ
Roles dictate how players think and move on the field the moment they lose control of the ball, whether they’ve lost the ball or passed it to a teammate.
There are 52 different roles in total – from 3 to 5 roles per position – each with very specific positives and negatives for the player.
Based on collected real data from past seasons, the AI will determine which roles players excel at the most. Some, like Bellingham and De Bruyne, mostly excel at one (winger), while others like Havertz have decent percentages in three or more (shadow striker, winger, playmaker).
