The Longbow sniper rifle is unique and unlike any other, making it the best setup for its use in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded to maximize its unusual characteristics.
Of all the snipers in Warzone that we have seen come and go, Longbow is perhaps the strangest. This sniper rifle is based on the AK-224, an adaptation of the longitudinal sliding bolt platform from the Kastov universe.
Its strange origin story makes Longbow look like an assault rifle, it comes with a 30-round magazine, and has impressive handling. In multiplayer mode, these features make it an absolute monster, but it is also quite strong in Warzone.
Below is a list of our recommendations for the best gear for the Longbow in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded.
Best gear for Longbows in Warzone
- Muzzle: Sound Suppressor
- Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
- Barrel: Pro-99 Long Barrel
- Ammunition: 7.62x39mm, high grain
- Bolt: SA-M Quickbolt
Since it cannot kill enemies with one shot, the Longbow is used for its excellent handling. To take advantage of this, it is best to equip both the Pro-99 Long Barrel attachment alongside the FSS OLE-V Laser. These attachments help with characteristics like aim speed, range, and bullet speed.
Sniping in Warzone requires hitting shots from distances of hundreds of meters, so a high bullet speed is essential. You can increase this on the Longbow by using 7.62x39mm, high grain ammunition with a Sound Suppressor, which also prevents your shots from appearing on the radar.
The final attachment is flexible, but we like the SA-M Quickbolt as it increases the Longbow’s rate of fire by 11%. A higher rate of fire allows you to fire subsequent shots faster, reducing its TTK and making the bolt-action rifle much more stable.
Longbow Warzone loadout: perks and equipment
- Perk 1: Double Time
- Increases the duration of tactical sprint and shortens refresh time.
- Perk 2: Focus
- Reduce flinch when aiming down sight and increase breath holding duration.
- Perk 3: Cold-Blooded
- Undetectable by thermal optics, tactical cameras, and reconnaissance drones. Does not trigger heightened alert and combat reconnaissance modes.
- Perk 4: Tracker
- Your UAV Killstreak, portable radar, or UAV tower show the direction of enemy movement for your squad and detect players using Ghost.
- Lethal: Throwing knife
- Tactical: Smoke grenade
Considering the suitability of the Longbow for aggressive play, Double Time is an excellent choice as it enhances Tactical sprint, allowing you to run faster. Combined with Focus, it makes sense for a sniper as it reduces flinch, making it significantly easier to make decisive shots under stress.
Speaking of perks that are perfect for sniping, Cold-Blooded is incredible as it prevents enemy players from activating High Alert. This gives you enough time to line up your shots without rushing them.
Perk 4 is a highly competitive slot with several strong options. Although it’s hard to choose just one, Tracker wins here thanks to its obvious synergy with sniper shooting. The ability to detect hidden enemies on the radar means better surveillance of specific areas.
The throwing knife is a meta-lethal option in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded thanks to its quick use and good damage on a hit. The smoke grenade allows you to hide in cover that may not be on the map.
How to unlock the Longbow in Warzone
The Longbow can be unlocked through the Weapon which is available at level 25. Once access to the Armory is available, activate the Longbow and complete five daily missions. Additionally, evacuating with the «Longbow» in «Zombie» mode or purchasing the Vault edition for MW3 will also unlock the bolt-action sniper rifle.
Best alternative to the Longbow in Warzone
For those who enjoy the feel of a bolt-action sniper rifle, it is worth considering using the MKPR-300. It is slower to handle than the Longbow, but can kill enemies with one shot if the right type of ammunition is used.
Long-range combat is always a good idea in the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded meta, so explore other types of long-range weapons such as MORS, KVD Enforcer, and Kar98k.
