Party Play is a cooperative mode in Pokemon Go that allows four friends to stay connected, complete challenges, and receive special bonuses during raids.
This feature was introduced in October 2023 along with a special research task called «Welcome Party,» where trainers can earn great rewards by completing tasks.
Those with a ticket to the Pokemon Go Fest Global 2024 will also have access to exclusive Party Play challenges during the event. However, even if you do not buy it, the mode is still incredibly useful for raids as it can boost Charged Attacks.

How to Join a Group in Pokemon Go
Joining a group in Pokemon Go is quite simple and can easily be done by going to the new «Group» tab introduced in the Party Play update.
To join an existing group, trainers can simply follow these steps:
- Open Pokémon GO and go to your trainer profile.
- Click on the new «Party» tab.
- Click «Join the party.» You will be prompted to either scan the host’s QR code or manually enter the numeric code.
- Wait for the host. to start the party! Once the party starts, you will return to the map.
However, it is important to note that not every trainer can join a Party right away. Players must first reach at least level 15 or higher to access the Party Play mode.

How to Create a Group in Pokemon Go
For trainers who want to host their own party, creating one is as easy as joining a friend’s party.
To create your own group that others can join, follow these steps:
- Open Pokémon GO and go to your trainer profile.
- Click on the new «Party» tab.
- Tap Create.
- You will be provided with a digital code or QR code that you can share with three nearby trainers.
- Click on «Start». and let the party begin!
From here, you can track your group’s progress on metrics like the number of Pokémon caught, number of throws made, and many other interesting statistics.
