First Descendant introduces its first brand new game character, Luna, who will soon join this shooter with marauding alongside Ultimate Valby.
The Nexon game has received several updates since its launch on June 30, and the latest patch brings various improvements, including the requested change to Outpost. Patch notes also provide players with details about the next game update.
Soon, The First Descendant will receive its first major content update, which will add Ultimate Valby, a new type of Devourer, new weapons, and the first new Descendant, Luna.

When will Luna be released?
Luna will be released on August 1, 2024, as part of The First Descendant update in Week 5. As mentioned, the update will also add Ultimate Valby, among other new gameplay and cosmetic content. This includes a swimsuit skin for the new Descendant.
Who is Luna?
Luna is a singer, also known as the «Mad Artiste.» Her abilities are focused on using music to aid her allies, essentially turning the battlefield into a stage for performances.
It is said that Luna’s music brings joy and has a calming effect on those around her, being considered in Albion as an «irreplaceable consumer good.»
It is also reported that she is returning to Albion after a «long wandering performance.»
Luna’s Role and Abilities
Luna is a support character with abilities that enhance her allies. She can increase the power of her team’s skills with the power of music, essentially making her The First Descendant’s bard.
While there are few details in the patch notes, they show that her synthesizer weapon becomes stronger when fired in rhythm, and she also enhances the buffs she applies.
The type of music Luna plays and dances to also affects her skills. When she dances to upbeat music, the power of her allies’ skills improves; when Luna dances to relaxing songs, she enhances her team’s mindset and reduces resource consumption.
Nexon also introduced two modification modules for Luna:
- Nimble Steps: Increases Luna’s mobility and expands the range of her abilities, allowing her to provide more effective support to allies.
- Noise Surge: Turns Luna from a supporter into a combat dealer. She charges at enemies in rhythm, dealing damage to the closest enemies. When the inspiration gauge is filled, it triggers a phase to restore mental strength and shields. Give enemies a terrifying musical experience with Noise Surge!
Which element Luna uses exactly, and whether she is a Non-Elemental Descendant, is not disclosed.
